Kim is a 2nd grade teacher in the Florida public school system and enjoys spending Saturdays with her historian/mom, Barb, discussing the Bible and producing their podcast. She is a “pk” (preacher’s kid), former Whirlybird (IYKYK), and was a proud and loud alto in her teen choir. She has spent many years in children’s church ministry and teaching in various settings: homeschool, private schools, and public schools.
Kim and her two daughters share a love for musical theater and ran a backyard drama club for several years. Kim’s oldest daughter, Brooke, was born with Vacterl Association and endured medical treatments throughout her life. She lived to see her 19th birthday and then went home to Jesus. Kim’s youngest daughter, Hannah, grew up helping take care of Brooke, and is now a nurse in Atlanta, Georgia.
Barb Rice
Bible Expert & Cohost of “Old Testament with my Mom” podcast
Barb holds degrees in history and religious studies and is the author of “Unlocking the Books of Moses”. She spent most of her adult life in the ministry as a pastor’s wife, speaker, and Bible teacher.
Barb is drawn to help people in need and has worked with homeless shelters, women’s shelters, boys’ group homes, and was a chaplain at a women’s prison.
But the people she loves helping the most is her family — her three children and eight grandchildren.
